If you had missed Singapore’s First Modest Fashion Weekend…
I had my first public sharing session on the first day of Singapore Modest Fashion Weekend – I was prepping my mind about things that they could possibly ask about Fashion and Modesty but the actually fast wasn’t really about Fashion and Modesty but more about clarifying the roles of social influencers and business owners. Took me off guard, really. Surprisingly the session we had turned our really well, Alhamdulillah, as I have with me 3 other amazing bloggers/vloggers – Omaya from US, Zahra from UK and Imane from Sweden, not forgetting Nura J our mediator, we were very open in sharing our experiences and work ethics.
All of us hoped that everyone present has truly benefitted from our sharing.
SMFW 2017 – Runway
ADRIANNA YARIQA – Singapore
Presenting their 2017 Lebaran Collection
Opening the show, Adrianna Yariqa stepped in with an array of collection which is all about stripes and ruffles. A fun and flirty Eid is on your way!
Sazzy Falak – Malaysia
Presenting her 2017 Lebaran Collection
That bold fabric which has so much character together with a simple flowy silhouette at play. That unusual fabric finish, surprisingly captured my heart’s interest. Not only I can imagine myself wearing this out during Eid but also out on a sassy date night with Fattah in this Sassy Falak number.
That’s my personal favourite from Sazzy Falak’s collection. The fabric that evokes so much attitude, the flow and that pussy bow which immediately drew my attention.

Presenting her 2017 Lebaran Collection in tweed!
It’s all about the class and elegance. Though these pieces might be a little impractical for our climate but it definitely has that Paris in Spring charm to it. Dreamy…
Ria Miranda – Indonesia
Presenting her upcoming Autumn/Winter 2017 collection
Ria’s show was the one that I anticipated the entire day. I am genuinely a fan and I have always wanted to experience for myself how her styling and pieces come to life on the runway. Just like how they seem to be in during Jakarta Fashion Week.
I finally did! Thank you SMFW!
The entire collection was just impractically breathtaking. It was very Ria Miranda, feminine, dreamy and very much almost out of the world. I just love it when a designer puts up a show that is unusual and aspirational.
Takes you into a transce that you don’t want it to end.
Thank you so much Ria for closing the first day of Singapore Modest Fashion Weekend with your presence. I am so thrilled that we finally ketemu lagi after 2 years!
What I wore…
Twirling in happiness as it was an amazing day – Did something that I never expect I would do in a million years, being blown away by Ria’s show and meeting Ria again after 2 years.
I will be definitely be updating more about SMFW 2017 with many other spectacular brands and designers hitting the runway and also my personal styling for the shows!
Stay tuned! xx
